英斯特朗

英斯特朗公司®于1946年在美国马萨诸塞州波士顿市成立。 当时， 英斯特朗公司的创始人Harold Hindman先生和George Burr先生一起在著名的马省理工学院（MIT）工作。 Hindman先生负责研究一种用于降落伞使用的新材料。由于当时的材料试验机不能准确测定这种新材料的力学性能， 于是Hindman先生与 Burr先生合作，使用应变片技术和伺服控制技术设计出世界上第一台闭环控制的材料试验机和第一个应变片式载荷传感器。

他们所设计的世界上第一台电子万能材料试验机是如此的成功，于是Hindman先生和Burr先生决定成立英斯特朗工程公司 （Instron Engineering Corporation）。公司英文名称“Instron”派生于英文单词“Instrument”(仪器) 中的“ins”和“electronics”(电子) 中的“tron” 。

最早的英斯特朗材料试验机有一个独特的十字头驱动系统，与美国海军舰艇雷达天线定位驱动十分相似。用于加载的载荷传感器采用了应变片技术，这是当时麻省理工学院开发的一项新技术。

1957年，公司将其总部以及美国的主要制造工厂迁移到马萨诸塞州坎顿市(Canton) – 新英格兰地区的高科技走廊128号公路旁，公司更名为英斯特朗公司（Instron Corporation）。2005年7月英斯特朗公司启用位于Norwood市的新工厂。

英国的英斯特朗有限公司（Instron Limited）成立于1960年，作为英斯特朗公司在欧洲的总部。该公司设在英国海威康市。在英国成立分公司是为了适应欧洲对制造材料试验机、市场营销和技术服务不断增长的需求。

1965年，英斯特朗公司在日本成立了英斯特朗亚洲公司，以支持亚太地区的市场营销和技术服务的需求。1983年，英斯特朗公司在北京设立了中国地区的第一个销售办事处。

今天, 英斯特朗加入了著名的美国ITW集团,成为全球材料试验机制造的领导者, 其销售和服务机构遍布世界各地，英斯特朗公司总部位于美国，英斯特朗 (上海)试验设备贸易有限公司 为中国全资子公司。

Instron ® It was founded in Boston, Massachusetts in 1946. At that time, Mr. Harold Hindman, the founder of Instron, and Mr. George burr worked together at the famous Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Mr. Hindman is responsible for studying a new material for parachutes. Since the material testing machine at that time could not accurately measure the mechanical properties of this new material, Mr. Hindman cooperated with Mr. burr to design the world's first closed-loop controlled material testing machine and the first strain gauge load sensor using strain gauge technology and servo control technology.

Instron Limited was established in 1960 as the headquarters of Instron in Europe. The company is based in haywickon, UK. The establishment of a branch in the UK is to meet the growing demand for manufacturing material testing machines, marketing and technical services in Europe.

In 1965, Instron established Instron Asia in Japan to support the needs of marketing and technical services in the Asia Pacific region. In 1983, Instron established its first sales office in Beijing.
Today, Instron joined the famous American ITW group and became the global leader in the manufacture of material testing machines. Its sales and service organizations are all over the world
Instron is headquartered in the United States. Instron (Shanghai) test equipment Trading Co., Ltd. is a wholly-owned subsidiary in China.
